A couple of different indicators may be present. The first is that soot is falling from your fireplace. The second a strong odor. Thirdly if your fires are burning poorly. These are just a few examples and cleaning still may be necessary even without any of these present.

HOW MUCH TIME DOES CHIMNEY CLEANING TAKE?
We are very adept at what we do. We usually allow an hour to complete the task per chimney but it is often faster than that.

​CAN I CLEAN MY CHIMNEY MYSELF?
We do not recommend taking on this task yourself. It would take far longer than we take and the tools and equipment that you would need would be not economical to purchase. Using a professional to clean your chimney insures that you are covered by insurance if a chimney fire were to take place. Some insurance may not cover you having done the work yourself.
